About the Beaufort Memorial Cycling Classic:Beaufort, “Queen of the Carolina Sea Islands,” is the second oldest city in South Carolina, and this year will be the host to the second annual Beaufort Memorial Cycling Classic.Through partnership with our sponsors, downtown Beaufort will host a weeknight of good family entertainment with a festive emphasis on health awareness. Good food, good fun and fast bicycle racing. The Beaufort Memorial Cycling Classic will include a kid’s rodeo and bike race, a women’s pro race, and a men’s pro race. Beaufort is located 75 miles south of Charleston, S.C., 55 miles north of Savannah, GA, and only 40 miles from HiltonHead Island, SC. The community is surrounded by majestic coastal marshland and is located minutes away from 30 miles of clean beaches.
